"Okay - both eyes open, remember to breathe, feet on the ground." These are the same things his dad had taught him so many years ago, a mantra he repeated to himself so many times, he'd forgotten it. Once, he'd imagined teaching his own children (though for recreation and not the purpose he'd learned). It's a little bittersweet to have to teach Haley because she needed to know rather than just for fun, but he's still grateful for the opportunity.
