Dean is never going to catch her, but he calls out a good-natured, "Cheater!" before closing up the hotel room and following her out. It eases his mind to see her so... normal. Usually, one or the other of them has to cheer the other up, but for the first time in a long time, they're both on the same page.
Even though she's waiting for him at the car, he slips past her, unlocks the door, and opens it for her, grinning cheerily. "My dear," he says with a gallant sweep of his arm.
He closes the door after her and climbs in on his side. "Pancakes for breakfast?"
